This is a 2005-2006 60th Anniversary Fender American Deluxe V-Neck Stratocaster in 2-Tone sunburst with original hardshell case. Fender only made this model for 2 years - it combines the sweet playbility of the Eric Clapton/50's style V-shape neck with the modern feaures of the Deluxe series Stratocaster. The Deluxe shares the same basic construction as the American Standard Series (select alder body, USA electronics, maple neck, etc.), but adds significant upgrades - contoured heel for easier upper fret access, N3 Noiseless single coil pickups with S1 switch (for parallel/series switching), locking tuners for easy string changes, abalone dot inlay, and stainless steel saddles on the Deluxe bridge. This guitar is mint condition: there are no dings, dents. cracks or nicks. The guitar was only used in a home studio environment - stickers still on the backplate. Just some light finish swirls from light handling. The neck is straight and the truss rod works smoothly. The frets are in excellent shape with no appreciable wear. The action has been set low with a new set of 10-46 DR handwound nickel strings - plays and beautifully and sounds amazing. The original Fender molded hardshell case (light scratches and scuffs from normal use) and the original pop-in Deluxe Tremolo bar are included.
